Fridge & inverter -electrical consumption

How much electricity do you think an average fridge and inverter uses in a months period???? My electric bill seems hi.

RE: "Calling all Seasonal Campers"

Well beleive it or not, I did unplug the trailer again this weekend and waited a little longer than I did before, probably 2 mins and it finally stopped. It was barely creeping, but it did stop. So what do I do now, leave well enough alone???????

RE: "Calling all Seasonal Campers"

Well the campground called me yesterday to let me know they did there own test and what they found was that everything is normal. OK? He said the meter took about 20-30 seconds to finally stop, he said there is stored up electricity that needs to work itself out in between the brakers and the meter, Hum? Which I thought I looked at it for more than 1 minute. My electrician friend started to laugh when i told him this. So I guess when I go up on thursday I will need to look at it again. Sounds a little fishy to me.

RE: "Calling all Seasonal Campers"

I spoke to my electrician friend who advised me that most likely the line to the pedstal has probably been compromised. He said if the sheathing is cut under the ground, and electricity is going into the ground, the meter doesn't know the difference, but its not enough to trip the breaker. He said it is faily common but not right

"Calling all Seasonal Campers"

Ok, mabey I wrong, but this does not seen right at all. I was at our seasonal site this weekend and someone from the capmground came around and handed my wife the electric bill for the month. It was $27 for the month which I thougt was high considering the amount of elec we use.(we never used the ac during this time frame) When we first decide to go there I asked a few seasonal people how much their elec bill was and they said about 20-30 ever two months. Well, I shut everything off execpt the fridge and the meter was still spinning pretty fast, so I told my wife to shut off the frig, meter was still spinning. So I said ok, must be the inverter, so then I unplugged my trailer, meter was still spinning, but very slow, does this makes sence, to spin when the trailer is litterally unplugged all together

Best Ground Cover!!

What do seasonal campers use to keep the dirt down at there site. I saw a site with fairly large natural wood chips and I really liked them. I thought for a second it might not be a good idea because of termites, but then i thought, hey, theirs plenty of wood that is laying in between sites that they would like more than that. Plus if you need a few pieces to light the fire , it's right there.

"Has This Ever Happened to Anyone"

We had some heavy rain this weekend , and when I woke up the next morning I noticed 2-3" round bubbles in the awning in several spots , as though water got in between the two layers of awning marterial. I could not tell if there was water in the bubble or just air. I wasn't sure if I should of put a pin hole in it or not to let the water drain out. Has anyone come across this?

Deck / Awning ???

I'm thinking of building a deck and was wondering how far out the typical awning comes out. I was planning on building the deck 8' out from the trailer. Will the awning go past the deck??
